Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Issue:

Bridge on private forestry road. This older bridge was built over a steel platform years ago. The road is eroding close to the bridge. There is a beaver dam downstream from the bridge. The dam is increasing the level of the brook and the water is overflowing on both banks. The bottom of the stream if filled with sediments. Woody debris accumulate in front of the bridge.

Action Required:

The beaver dam should be removed because the water level is too high and is close to overflowing on the bridge.
