Issue:

This site as several cottages along the right bank. Most of the cottages are close to the river. This site is very long and it has many different features. Every cottage has developed the waterfront in its own way. Some of the owners have put big boulders to protect the banks from erosion. Some areas with no barriers have excessive erosion on the right bank. A small tributary (Duguay brook) runs through one of the property and flows into the Millstream carrying some algae and should be looked into.

Action Required:

The owners of the cottages in this area should be aware of the importance of having a good sewage system in place. But overall, the site seems well maintained and a small strip of vegetation was kept close to the water’s edge in most places. The eroded banks should be stabilized.
